Refund Policy

At TownsKart, customer satisfaction is important to us. We aim to ensure that every order placed through our Platform is delivered accurately and in good condition. However, there may be certain situations where a refund becomes necessary. This Refund Policy outlines the circumstances under which refunds may be issued.

1. Eligibility for Refunds

Refunds may be considered in the following situations, subject to verification:

a. Order Not Delivered

If a prepaid order is not delivered due to reasons attributable to the merchant, delivery partner, or TownsKart.

b. Incorrect Order

If the delivered items are significantly different from what was ordered, including wrong items or incorrect quantities.

c. Damaged, Spoiled, or Tampered Items

If food, groceries, vegetables, meat, or other items are delivered in a damaged, spoiled, expired, or tampered condition and are refused at the time of delivery.

d. Missing Items

If one or more items are missing from the delivered order.

e. Service Failure (where applicable)

If a service booked through the Platform is not completed due to operational issues.

Refunds may be issued up to 100% of the order value, depending on the nature of the issue and verification by TownsKart.


2. Refund Request Process

To request a refund, the Buyer must:

  • Contact TownsKart Customer Support through the app or via email

  • Provide the Order ID

  • Clearly describe the issue

  • Submit supporting evidence where applicable (such as photos)

Refund requests must be raised within 48 hours of delivery or service completion. Requests raised after this period may not be eligible.


3. Refund Method and Timeline

  • Approved refunds will be credited to the original payment method used

  • Refund processing may take 5–7 working days, depending on the payment provider

  • For Cash on Delivery (COD) orders, refunds may be issued through wallet credit or bank transfer, as applicable

The decision of TownsKart regarding refunds shall be final and binding.


4. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will not be issued in the following cases:

  • Change of mind after successful delivery

  • Minor delays due to traffic, weather, or high demand

  • Incorrect address or contact details provided by the Buyer

  • Issues reported after the order is marked as delivered without timely communication
